Important Operating Guidelines
Do Not Operate Film-O-Clean Without Cleaning Media. Halt operation to rewind or replace Cleaning Media when depleted. Film will remain unharmed provided the Media Rollers are undamaged and rotate freely.

Do Not Dismantle Film-O-Clean. Disassembly is easy, re-assembly is difficult. Damage may result from unauthorized tinkering.

Do Not Over-Tighten Handle Clamp. Use only enough force to prevent the Handle Clamp from shifting. Avoid undue stress to the Projector Handle.

Ensure the Film-O-Clean Drive Wheel is centered within the film path. Unthreading may occur during operation if film is not properly centered.

Provide proper Cleaning Media Tension. Ensure the Cleaning Media is taut with no slack, requiring gentle force to unwind. Excessive tension will cause the mechanism to "bind" and Cleaning Media will not advance properly.

Loosely wound Cleaning Media will not tension properly. Loosely wound Cleaning Media will "cinch" on the core making accurate tensioning impossible. Ensure the Cleaning Media is wound tightly on the Plastic Core.

Ensure the Cleaning Media is correctly aligned. Accurate alignment is required to obtain uniform Take-Up

Verify Cleaning Media advances properly when Drive Wheel is engaged. Tension must not be excessive or the Cleaning Media will not advance properly

FilmGuard™ is the recommended film cleaning solution for use in Wet-Gate projection and produces no toxic fumes or strong odors.

Presoak Cleaning Media properly for Wet-Gate Projection. Over-Soaking Media with FilmGuard may cause temporary streaking during projection due to uneven distribution of FilmGuard which will dissipate normally.

Highly evaporative and volatile film cleaning solutions are NOT recommended for use in Wet-Gate projection. The toxic fumes associated with highly evaporative cleaning solutions require extensive ventilation for use within an enclosed projection booth. Film cleaning solutions such as FilmRenew™ are best used between rewinds and with adequate ventilation.
